THE HIGHLANDER COY OF FOOT GUARDS "Trevor's Scottish Foot" (or "Scotch Guard") (A/R) Originally organized around Scottish soldiers who had served under Sir Trevor in 1815 and remained in Wotanberg after Waterloo. Some of its current soldiers are their descendents. It is now a motorised light infantry unit equipped with a variety of vehicles. 1 PLT (A) is attached directly to GHQ as a security and ceremonial unit, as is the coy's "extra" plt SINCLAIR'S PIPES & DRUMS (A/R).
THE IRISH COY OF FOOT "Trevor's Irish Foot" (or "Irish Rovers") (A/R) Originally organized around Irish soldiers who had served under Sir Trevor in 1815 and remained in Wotanberg after Waterloo. Some of its current soldiers are their descendents. It is now a motorised light infantry unit equipped with Land Rovers. 1 PLT (A) is currently attached to the WEB serving as U.N. Peacekeepers.
THE FOREIGN COY OF FOOT "Trevor's Other Foot" (or "Beau Geste") (A/R) Originally organized around some of the other "foreigners" who had served under Sir Trevor in 1815 and remained in Wotanberg after Waterloo. Some of its current soldiers are their descendents. Foreigners may still enlist in this unit. The coy is now an airborne/airmobile infantry coy, but also has has two independent detachments which carry out special missions.
1, 2, & 3 PLT are attached to GDAC as part of Wotanberg's "Rapid Deployment Force".
4 PLT "Lagoon Platoon"(A) is attached to the Seiber Rifles as part of long-standing cooperative security arrangements with the Grand Duchy's former colony, the Seiber Islands; in return, a plt of the the Seiber Rifles is attached to the coy.
The coy's "extra" plt, 5 PLT "Baboon Platoon", (A) is attached to the Kikundi cha Nyani ("Baboon Battalion") as part of long-standing cooperative security arrangements with the Grand Duchy's former colony, Mustela Islands; in return, a plt of the Kikundi cha Nyani is attached to the coy.
The coy's "other extra" plt, 6 PLT is strictly an administrative unit to which foreigners serving in other units--such as the pilots attached to the GDAC--are officially assigned.
1 United States Artillery Field Assistance Detachment [or 1 USAFAD] assists the Grand Ducal Artillery (and other units) with the use and maintenance of their U.S.-made artillery, while 2 DETACHMENT is assigned other special missions.
THE WOTANBERGER COY OF FOOT "Trevor's Other Other Foot"(or "Pedal Pushers") (R) Originally organized around Wotanbergers who had served under Sir Trevor in 1815. Some of its current soldiers are their descendents. It is now a light infantry unit equipped with Drachentaler bicycles.
THE RIFLE PLATOON "Trevor's Rifles"(or "Sharpe's Other Rifles") (A/R) Originally organized around English riflemen who had served under Sir Trevor in 1815 and remained in Wotanberg after Waterloo, some of its current soldiers are their descendents. Legend has it that the unit was trained by the now-famous Lt-Col Richard Sharpe, who was a close friend of Sir Trevor Patrick. It is now a special operations unit attached directly to GHQ. The plt is often paired with 6 Dragoon Plt GDD for training and operations. (The Grand-Ducal government will neither confirm, nor deny, that these units assisted Coalition forces during the Gulf War.)
REGIMENTAL TROOPS "Arch Support" (A/R) The Regimental Troops is made of units--usually detached from the Support Regt--which provide administrative, logistical, and other support to the regt. They include a catering sec "Golden Arches"; a military police sec "Arch Criminal"; an ordinance sec "Archy Bunker", and a medical section "Fallen Arches".
