(A/R) A bn= regt, which--along with the attached 'C' (Foreign) Coy STOF, 7 (Aero-)Dragoon Platoon, GDD, and 'A' Bty GDA--constitutes Wotanberg's "Rapid Deployment Force". The regt was established in 1982 with cadres from the GDD and pilots provided on a contract basis by Air Wotanberg. (To this day, some of the pilots in the Regt are technically assigned to The Foreign Coy of Foot, STOF and attached to the Regt as they are foreigners.) The regt consists of its:
'A' SQN (A/R) "Blitzen" with its:- 1 TP "Valkyrie" (A/R) With 5 UH1 medevac
helicopters, attached in peacetime to the Constabulary.
- 2 TP "Hugin" (A/R) With 3 OH6 light reconnaissance helicopters, attached in peacetime to the Constanbulary.(This tp and 3 Tp are collectively known as "Wotan's Ravens".)
3 TP "Munin" (R) With 3 OH6 light reconnaissance helicopters. (This tp and 2 Tp are collectively known as "Wotan's Ravens".)
4 TP "Loki" (R) With 3 UH1 helicopters especially equipped to carry out electromagnetic countermeasures operations.
- 'B' SQN (A/R) "Donner" with its:
- 1 TP "Wotan's Spear" (or "Gungnir") (A/R) With 5 BO-105 P HOT-equipped
helicopters, attached in peacetime to the Constanbulary, which
uses them quite effectively in the enforcement of the Grand Duchy's
traffic laws.
2 TP "Donner's Hammer" (or "Mjolnir") (R) With 5 Puma HC1 helicopter gunships.
3 TP "Geri" (A/R) With 4 multi-mission Seawolf amphibians. (These aircraft were originally procured to equip a new Air Force unit, however, since they arrived painted in a forest camoflage pattern, they were assigned to the Army to replace this tp's aging Huey gunships.)(This tp and 4 Tp are collectively known as "Wotan's Wolves".)
4 TP "Freki" (R) With 4 multi-mission Seawolf amphibians. (These aircraft were acquired after those in 3 tp proved so successful.)(This tp and 3 Tp are collectively known as "Wotan's Wolves".)
'C' SQN "Pegasus" (A/R) With its:

Bell 412
Griffin helicopters, trebled with 1Plt 'C' (Foreign) Coy
STOF and 1 Tp 'A' Bty GDA for training and operations.
- 2 TP "Harpy" (A/R) With 4 Wessex HC2 helicopters, trebled with 2 Plt 'C' (Foreign) Coy STOF and 2 Tp 'A' Bty GDA. (The current helicopters will be replaced in the current FY with 4 Bell Ch 146 Griffon helicopters.)
3 TP "Pooka" (A/R) With 5 UH1 helicopters, trebled with 3 Plt 'C' (Foreign) Coy STOF and 3 Tp 'A' Bty GDA for training and operations.
4 TP "Dragon" (A/R) With 4 Puma HC1 helicopters paired with 7 (Aero-)Dragoon Platoon, GDD for training and operations.
- 2 TP "Harpy" (A/R) With 4 Wessex HC2 helicopters, trebled with 2 Plt 'C' (Foreign) Coy STOF and 2 Tp 'A' Bty GDA. (The current helicopters will be replaced in the current FY with 4 Bell Ch 146 Griffon helicopters.)
REGIMENTAL TROOPS "Sesame Street" (A/R) The Regimental Troops is made of units--usually detached from the Support Regt--which provide administrative, logistical, and other support to the regt.
